General Description

 

Under the supervision of the Assistant Superintendent overseeing Federal Programs, the Coordinator of Federal Programs is responsible for the planning, implementation, monitoring, compliance, and evaluation of all federal education programs within Franklin City Public Schools. The position ensures compliance with federal and state regulations governing programs funded through the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Perkins, McKinney-Vento, and other federal grant programs. The Coordinator provides leadership in the development, administration, and monitoring of federal grant budgets, applications, program effectiveness, and reporting requirements to maximize student achievement and organizational effectiveness.

 

The Coordinator of Federal Programs collaborates with school administrators, instructional leaders, finance personnel, and state agencies to ensure effective use of federal resources.

Physical Requirements

 

Work is generally performed in an office and school environment. Duties may require standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting up to 25 pounds, and traveling between division facilities and professional meetings.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

 

May supervise federal program specialists, grant-funded personnel, and other staff as assigned by the Superintendent.

 

 

The Coordinator of Federal Programs plays a critical leadership role in ensuring that federal resources are strategically utilized to improve student achievement, support instructional excellence, and maintain full compliance with all applicable federal and state requirements.
